Optionskinderquote
Anteil der Optionskinder (0- 17 Jahre) an der deutschen Hauptwohnsitzbevölkerung im Alter von 0- 17 Jahren in Prozent.
Optionskinder sind Kinder, die aufgrund des Geburtsrechts Deutsche geworden sind und zusätzlich die Staatsangehörigkeit ihrer Eltern besitzen. Die betroffenen Kinder erhalten die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit jedoch nicht dauerhaft. Ab Erreichen der Volljährigkeit bis spätestens zum 23. Geburtstag müssen sich die betroffenen Kinder zwischen der deutschen Staatsangehörigkeit und der ausländischen Staatsangehörigkeit ihrer Eltern entscheiden.
